If these things are reliable, this could be a game changer. I know that piston rifles are very polarizing, but for the masses who may want 1 gun to easily shoot suppressed and unsuppressed, this could be amazing. Here's how they're doing it:

-Upper receiver is not forged, but made out of 6061
-Standard, non-ambi lower
-Less swag like fancy flash hider.

Still comes with a Radian Raptor CH, MLOK rail, and BCM furniture. Basic polished trigger too, and still includes the PWS ratcheting buffer tube and castle nut setup. The MSRP is $995, which means street should be even less.

Going from memory here and on the phone so I can’t look anything up (easily) but doesn’t Adams Arms have piston driven rigs for cheaper than $1k?

I’m confused on the upper. So if it’s not forged like even the cheapest of rifles are, is it billet? Save cost by using 6061 vs 7075 I guess.

Seems like using a forged upper would be cheaper unless they have that many modifications for the piston system.

Says they are not forged and machined, but rather 6061 extrusions. I assume billet.

And yes, I think Adams Arms does make a sub $1,000, I just can't recall if I've seen one with the MLOK rail and as many features. Plus if $995 if the MSRP, they'll be $750-800 before too long.

I’m just not a piston fan.

I’d like PWS guns more of the uppers didn’t have those skeletonized marks on them also

I would be interested in these. I also just realized that half of my rifles are Piston driven (ARX100's/AKs/805Bren). Guess I am a piston fan.

FWIW, a standard AR has a piston system. It's call the bolt, and it has piston rings.
