I have the Raven Concealment Vanguard, which is pretty similar. It's ok if you're trying to minimize concealment bulk. Pretty comfortable, but I still like a regular kydex holster with the wing better. Here's the Vanguard.

I had one like the Raven. Extremely stiff and you really had to rip it out to remove the pistol; the string needed to be shortened and tied off on something really sturdy. I didn’t like it except for in a hiking pack with an anchor point

I also had the raven vanguard. The pistol moved around too much with it to get a consistent draw (I used it AIWB). I would imagine similar designs would have the same issue.

Have one for the 43. Loved it so much that I now carry a similar one for both my 43 with tlr6 and my xdsc with tlr3 from warrior concealment. Don't plan on taking the light off the 43 so if you're interested in trying one I will sell it to you for $20. Saves a few dollars.

If the added 1/4" "bulk" of a kydex IWB holster is making the gun "too bulky" you need a smaller gun.

I used one for the G19 and it was great, I got one for my G43 and it actually sits down farther than the gun and dug into me so I ditched it.

Does no one here sweat in the summer? I need a sweat guard or I rust the slide sitting against my skin or at least grip screws, etc.

I also dislike the feel of the gun stuck to my gut.

Not sure they get much smaller than the G43. my issue is not the 1/4" extra thickness. It's a comfort level. I have yet to try any full kydex or leather holster that is as comfortable as the Q-series or Warrior Concealment 10-10ALB. It's one of the reasons the vanguard was and continues to be popular. As for sweat shield, I wear an undershirt most of the time, and when I disarm I unload and wipe down my weapon prior to putting it in the safe(which you can also do with the above holster still attached and not even allow the opportunity of ND as the trigger is completely covered at all times). I know, "A gun is supposed to be comforting, not comfortable" etc but why not have both if its available?
