    Hey All,

Looking for a good quality leather belt for carry. Would prefer locally made and crafted if possible. Any suggestions you have would be welcomed!

    Thank you in advance,

    RS

Well I'll add that I'm a huge bellied beer gut English dude and my Fatboy belts have not rolled, creased or deformed in what must be approaching a decade of use. I've carried multiple full size pistols plus extra mags and light etc.

Curt also has the best after sales service I've experienced in ages. Cut my belts down lickety split when i dropped a mess of lard and didn't even fuss.

In my humble opinion there are only two that should even be breathed...

Fatboy Belts by our own @gunbelt and Trakline belts from Kore Essentials.

I dunno anything about Traklines. Curt's belts are the finest piece of apparel I own (not saying much, but evaluate for intent, not content :) )

As I understand it a purchase from @gunbelt (Curt) comes with a pants down man hug...... Proceed with caution and watch your feet.....

Practice unbuckling the belt before you wear it much. Unskilled hands can lead to soiled underdrawers.

Some of the best threads ever have been about people telling about their "near miss" events with a new Fat Boy belt.

Incase no one mentioned it Fatboy belts, even if you aren't a fatboy (I am). Best belt I have every had, as others have also said. The it will take a few days to get used to getting if off and on but it will QUICKLY become second nature.

Fatboy is superior to The Beltman, but if you want a belt for dress pants, The Beltman is more traditional, thinner and buckled.

True. The only negative I have with a Fatboy is some pants are a pain to thread and where the front two loops are close it can be a fuss to "buckle", but that's an issue with pants really.

Another recommendation for the Fatboy. I've had mine for 5 years now and wear it literally everyday. Still in great shape and the only belt I will consider. Worth every penny. I will never buy another store bought belt again

Edit: To add, I have the XX Fatboy belt Curt made a while back. I think I paid $80 for it? Which was a lot of money to me at the time. Truth be told, times have definitely changed financially but even so I would spend $100+ today without hesitation for a belt of this quality and thickness. You cannot find one anywhere that comes close to how long these belts will last.

Think about buying a $25 belt every year. Not only is that $25 belt going to be junk from day one and even more so at the end of the year...you are going to spend more overtime for a lesser quality product. Buy once cry once

Possibly but all my belts serve double duty, so I prefer a belt that can be worn with work clothes (slacks, khakis, etc) and I prefer buckles, so Beltman gets my vote
