I came across a guy selling Nosler 300 blackout match grade ammo for twenty dollars a box. I have not been shooting 300BO for long because its expensive to shoot. Therefore I don’t have a lot of knowledge. I felt the price was reasonable considering current events but wanted to see if I did okay. I bought 30 boxes. Also what does match grade mean?

$.70-$1/rd is pretty normal for factory 300BLK. Considering the current ammo shortage, I think you did OK paying at the high end of normal.

If you’re interested, I would highly recommend you reload 300BLK. I’m right around $.25/rd for supers.

FYI this is in the wrong section. Questions shouldn’t be in classifieds.

Wasn’t sure where to post the question

Thanks for information, I mainly bought it because the guy is out of work for the coming weeks. He is a bartender and doesn’t know when he will get back to work

Good. That is really a fair price at this point in the game. And you helped a brotha out.

In fact.. .most Nosler Ammo is usually higher priced than other ammo, so I would say that may be cheaper than normal situations...

Also what does match grade mean?

A hold-over from the days when USGI ammo loaded and marked as "MATCH", meaning for marksmanship/competitive use and not for combat. Nowadays it is accepted to mean ammunition that is loaded to be more consistent/accurate than general-use ammunition. But as stated, there is no "standard" for match grade ammo.
