Question to mods

Russel, I’m gonna move this to the site related forum. It’ll go better there than in the classifieds

Any ad can be deleted per se. Personally, I dont care, but I know other folks that can't stand it when the original post content gets deleted.

HOWEVER, if someone deleted the first post content and bumps the thing saying sold, gone, withdrawn or what ever that just irks the ever living crap out of me. Probably my biggest pet peeve of all time as a matter of fact...

Posting feedback requires a link to the sale thread.
If the linked thread is deleted, or the first post in the thread deleted, does the feedback survive?

The threads themselves won’t be deleted. People are just removing their content from the posts in the ad

Got it, and then bumping their now empty post.

Seriously, though. Why not leave all ads up with original prices to help build a database of pricing?
Do you need the help of others to determine the value of your own stuff?

This just a question based on add ownership. I could be wrong but I thought we had the ability To control our post after they were put up.. It is more a question of why can't we.

Yes, yes you do. That is generally how "used" markets of anything is determined
While the saying that "its only worth what some one qill pay for it" is true the owner also has to decide what its worth to them. If some one is willing to pay 500.00 for an item but you see the value at 600.00 and wont let it go for less what is the true value of the item?

Like I said the primary question is about add ownership. If its just a matter of the add being bumped, allow the owner to delete their content wothout it being bumped. If the person doesnt own the content they put up the the argument is null and void. If the posted belongs to the forum then so be it. I think your missing the point of the question.
