Sitting here on Sunday morning, only one up yet. This is usual, except there is only my wife to get up later.
Youngest graduated and got married in the spring. Moved oldest to Lewisville last weekend. Grandson, 3 years old, left Friday afternoon after a ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad.
I plan to keep busy, immerse myself in projects. Still have a piece of furniture to build for Conner, homebrewing (newest hobby), yardwork, get back to shooting. If I stay busy I won't miss him so much.
I do worry about my wife. tomorrow I go back to work. She has nowhere to go, and no real hobbies. I do not want her sitting around getting depressed that Conner is gone.
Any suggestions? She is limited physically due to weight and bad foot problems.

Does she like puzzles? Maybe a magazine or book club? Get her on the forum........ wait maybe not. She may find out who you have been ,hanging out with.

An empty nest can be hauntingly quiet.

Find her a Gym with a pool. Hydrotherapy would do her good. There are several places that will have senior water aerobic classes too. She could meet her next husband there;).

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. One kid at school at Western, the other just moved out. Little boy I thought was going to be the new grandson is at home, they broke up, me retired and just finished a big project but not wanting another one.

My mom plays solitaire on her tablet or binge watches Netflix.

A pet may be helpful. Something physically and socially active would be as well.
