I have a CMMG piston driven AR and want to change out the rail. Any ideas on what rails will work on piston gun?

Do you have a set of calipers? If so, just measure the tallest point of the piston system above the barrel to roughly centerline of the barrel and double it for your needed inner diameter. Although I know some rails taper and change. Have you just googled to see what others have done? Take your current rail off and post both pictures of the gas system on the CMMG and the rail so we can see what you're working with.

Is it this system? With rail on top?

I have one setup with a YHM rail to the gas block and a BNIB one that I was thinking about putting a full handguard on it but might sell it to get a bolt action.
NKD I will have to look again but from the picture below the gas block looks a little different.
Next question, if I decide to keep the new one and want an A2 stock on it, what internal parts would need to be changed? Below is a picture of the gun.

Agree with Dave, no way you're going to find a FF that goes over that GB setup. I'd get a nice drop in quadrail or even a basic handguard upgrade like a Magpul SL and then just use a fixed front iron site like a DD, Troy, LMT, etc.
