Raleigh Gun Show, May 4-5

I try not to miss the shows in Raleigh. Cheap entertainment, IMHO. Plus, I can stock up on my reloading supplies without having to pay for shipping or hazmat fees.

I don't know which day I will go, it may depend on the weather. Whichever day looks to have the best weather, I will probably go to the range on that day.

For the past couple of years, it is pretty much just walk-up-and-go-in, except for when the doors first open. Then, you may have to wait in line for 10 minutes or so. Nowadays, I just plan to show up about 30 minutes after the doors open.

Back in 2013, it was a different story. The line to get in, before the doors opened, was all the way around the building to Hillsborough street. Crazy.

I have school fundraiser volunteerism on SAT.

I’ve posted this before...

I was picking up a gun from my pawn shop FFL. While doing the paperwork, he says, "Your wife must be outta town again".

I turn to him and nod. Another customer asks how he can possibly know that.

The FFL tells the guy, "He's picked up a gun every day this week". :eek:
 
Payday today, and gun show tomorrow. Whooo Hooooo.....

Looks like I will be there Sat morning. Don't tell @Bullseye Baldee I will be there, he likes to follow me around like a little puppy. ;)

If you see an elderly fellow with cap, glasses and greying mustache, it might be me. Got to check out cubrock's cool stuff.

This is why I can't ever find my friends when they wander more than a few yards away. Trying to find a bald white guy in a t-shirt and 5.11s in a gun show is like trying to find a needle in a pile of needles. We all look the same.

I don't try to find my friends. I just wait for them to find me. I'm 6'7". I stand out in a crowd. ;)

That is how I found Hickock 45 at the 2018 NRA convention in Dallas, he is 6'8".
We both wear New Balance 990 series sneakers, so did Steve Jobs.
