Raleigh show Jan 19-20

I went first thing, got the reloading supplies I was after, visited the booth, go the hell out before I bought anything dumb. :)

Speaking of dumb... saw a brand new FDE SU16 ($479) and a used OD Green SU16 ($800). Now that I've got mine they're coming out of the woodwork.

I came with my wife and brought $1500 cash. It was my wife's first gun show ever. She had so much fun.

BUT! I'm the one who brought money and all i got was an AR10 magazine. My wife got a new gun, a taser flashlight, a jar of crap to clean your eye glasses, and a jar of crap to shine your boots.... And it was MY gun money... She's not allowed to go to gun shows anymore.

Haha

Just got back. Hit the place about 1pm and it was crowded. Met @Jeppo and re-met @Button Pusher. Couple of nice guys in real life :)
Saw that some other members had also stopped by but then they were long gone.

Not much caught my attention (except for some very lovely ladies) and most prices were still way too much. Saw a lot of nice old revolvers but no Highway Patrolman that someone on here is looking for. There was a decent full automatic Thompson for 23K and an Uzi for 8K at one booth. LOL

Overall just a good few hours away from home.

There will be lots of other gun shows, and next time it's your turn

There will be many more gun shows and next time it's your turn. But I recommend bringing lots more money$$$

I picked up 5K small pistol primers from Blue Collar reloading. Thanks for the recommendation. They had the best prices in the building. Also got 4 lbs of Winchester 231 at a pretty good price.

Stopped by the CFF table and met Button Pusher and Jeppo. I had met BP at a previous range meet at TSA a few years ago, but this was the first time I had met Jeppo. I don’t care what y’all say, Jeppo is alright. He didn’t scratch his ass and pick his nose at all. ;)

Went to Blue Collar to pick up a pound of powder and walked away with 9. Was with a friend, we walked about half the floor just looking around, he picked up a nice range bag. I also picked up an Ammo can for $8. We left after that.

I also noticed the Cover Six was not there. I heard from someone that they have gone out of business. I hope that isn’t true. I did notice that their website is down.

I thought there were more people at this show than the last few Dixie shows. I think the democrats taking the house may have something to do with that.

Any Chinese guns??? I know no one really looks for them except me and a couple others

One Polytech Legend for $2800, a couple Norinco stamped guns for big money.

One table had an Israeli manufactured FAL for sale. That was awesome to behold.

I am on the fence about going... anybody see any duracoat there? I am in need of some hardener (Who knew it had a 6 month shelf life)

With more than 90 minutes in the car, each way, I was able to confine all ass scratching and nose picking to those three hours.

I thought it was a pretty cool show. All I bought today was one very cool 3rd Gen Smith with 5 magazines and 2 holsters. I waited until just about closing time and was able to grind the seller down to a quick and dirty $300.

There is a shooter grade S&W 3913 with 5 mags, a decent horsehide IWB holster and IWB mag pouch that can be had for $400.00 (asking $425.00).

at a small table in the northwest corner

Someone please buy it so I don't....
