I'm in need of a better range bag [see pic]. I'm looking for something with a little more organization and especially something with lots of pockets for cans of cleaner, lube, etc. Any recommendations? DIY i.e. not a "real range bag" is fine. And I'm not really looking for space for guns-n-ammo, just for all the other stuff: muffs, glasses, cleaning, tools, etc.

Tagged for interest. Mine is 25 years old.

I bought this bag five plus years ago (I think). Versatile and it has held up well. Considered it a good bang for the buck. It is large but I carry a lot of gear in it and have no issue with transport and cary. https://ads.midwayusa.com/product/638531/midwayusa-competition-range-bag-system?cm_mmc=pf_ci_google-_-Shooting - Range Bags-_-MidwayUSA-_-638531&gclid=CLrhrfa47dMCFc-3wAodyOsAjg

+1

My wife and I both have one of these. Lots of storage and they seem very well made.

Thanks. I just ordered it. I've been using dad's and he's been gone for 22 years. I think it is okay to retire it now.

I have a CED range bag that I don't even use. It's so big a family of four could live in it.

MidwayUSA has their competition bag on sale now in select colors. That thing is awesome. Highly recommend it. I'm debating buying another one "just because".

The Midway bag looks just like the 5.11 bag I have. Probably made by the small Asian man. It is good as far as space and organization. I use a small cheap Blackhawk bag if I am hitting the range with 1-2 guns and a short session. If I am loading up all sorts of stuff the bigger bag is great.

I have a small MidwayUSA pistol/mag case - good quality. I like all the recommendations, but they don't really get at my OP. I'm still shopping for something with lots-o-pockets, not so much for mags, but more for cans and bottles. But, this is turning out to be a good range bag thread, so keep 'em coming.

This is the one I have, bright blue...

I have one of these also that I all but stole. It didn't have a price on it, wasn't in the store's computer and the clerk said "$60?'. I found out later that it retails for $150 or so.

I use painters tool bags i got from sherwin willams/duron years ago. They are essentialy like a toolbox and a toolbag had a baby. Metal frame, canvas cover, lots of pockets and strong as hell. I dont have a pic handy but they are available at most places that sell painting supplies or tools.
