Been a long time since I shot at Jim's in Fayetteville, and I remembered why the instant I stepped in thru the sally port.....man, it was hot!

Shot well with the 1911s, and pretty badly with the CZ Rami. Big shocker, I'm sure. I was there about 90 minutes, did some slow firing, and a few faster shots.

I'm surprised I was able to hold those guns up as long as I did, since I haven't shot a lot in the last few months. It was nice to be back there.
Pics to follow.

You have to remember that the Rami is 3" barrel. It is accurate for that size pistol but its size makes it hard to shot. Should have kept the Glock 19. LOL

Wow

i feel like these results are some of your best!

nicely done!!!
Hey, 1911s shoot well for me! Others, not so much...but thanks!

I think I got some pics doubled, hard to do them on the cell phone.

Yeppers....rethinking the Rami. Lol. Miss the Glocks.

It is a nice concealable package but 3" guns are harder to shoot. You also have to be realistic about its use. It is not a target gun. It is get is out of your pants stick in into someones chest at point blank range and shoot kind of gun.

The 1911 is an asset and a crutch at the same time.

I know what you mean! lol.

Love/hate thing for me....mostly love!!:) (I love them so much, I almost hate any other guns!!)

Then why by other guns? LOL

I know I have given you this advice before. Get a good reliable compact like a CZ P01, Glock 19, S&W M&P 2, CZ P10, Beretta 92X Compact etc.... and only shoot it. Dry fire. Dry Fire Dry Fire until the gun does not move when you pull the trigger. Once you can do that instinctively then you are ready to focus on aiming shooting and groups. Only once you can pull the trigger without influencing the gun can you work on using the sights and aiming. Then you can work on speed.

You need to pic a platform and master it before you move on to the next thing. If you keep changing the platform without mastering it you are setting yourself back. I am telling you this from experience. I did the same thing. Too many platforms early on made me a below avg jack of all trades master of none.

All of that said you in spite of all of that have improved greatly. You need to focus on one platform and master it. From there you can master others. IMHO

I hope not to let them get that close, but I do get your point!

I miss the Glocks......

Glocks are indestructible, even by me, and are easy to deal with as far as ammo and cleaning.
The P238 was my first carry gun, and I still carry it on occasion. Keeping it.
A revolver is a nice thing to have, not letting that one go.

Not sure if any of that makes sense, but a lot of gun stuff makes no sense. We like what we like, and sometimes what we like changes as we change....does that make any sense?? You guys are more experienced at this than I have life left to gain the experience.....lol.

The reality is that is real world fighting distance for civilians in this country.

At least you can go shoot. My hand is still not 100% and donā€™t think it will do well under recoil.

I'm sorry about your hand, but it's a perfect opportunity for one-handed shooting, no?
(Trying to see the positive side here.)

I have never had a Rami, isn't the trigger similar to the 75b? I think the SA pull on most DA/SA CZs is much better than the typical Glock.

But yeah, should have kept the Glock!

I can't remember how the triggers were on the couple of 75s I've shot, so they must not have been too weird, but the Rami trigger has a pretty severe (to me) curve to it. Others have noticed it too.

To me, any trigger (mostly) is better than an un-messed-with gritty-feeling Glock trigger. That's just inexperienced me, but if I ever do own another G19....trigger job!!!:)

I was seduced away from my G19 by a G48....and then I was smitten by the Rami......

Shoot what you like. If you like the Rami you can tighten up those 5yd groups tremendously. Glocks are easy to carry and easy to fix...the triggers suck.

I agree, the trigger reach on CZ double action is pretty far in addition to the curve. I would have to see how much the cajun works trigger reach reduction and flat trigger did before I owned another CZ. I'd probably get thinner grips too.

The big-ness of the grip is one of my favorite things about the Rami....fits my hands really well. I have big hands for a girl, I think.
