While trying to resize some range pick-up 308 brass I noticed that my workbench was cracking due to the pressure needed (I through the rest away) to size the brass. Without replacing the table top I was wondering if there is a place that might have a support brace that I could mount under the table for some support.

You could probably cut a piece of steel or plywood to help spread the load. Using larger washers under the nuts might help out as well.

I am using fendr washers and was looking at maybe a 1/8 steel to spread out the load.

Thanks,

Ricky

If you have to use that much force somethingdoesn't sound right to me. I use a Lyman T-7 mounted to a 3/4" MDF board & clamped to my table. This is a half-a$$ed setup but even military headstamp 308 doesn't over-stress it.

Catfish, I have resized 1000s of 308 and these are a bitch. I must have 700 ready to load so those 10 are in the waste bucket. But I noticed that the table looked like it has a crack in the top. I ran a bunch more brass in other calibers with no problems.
