I have to agree with his statements that if you carry or have access to a weapon for self defense you have to be very proficient and be ready to use that weapon in an instant. Sadly, most of us, for whatever reason, are not. I fall into that category. Even though I carry, and can handle my weapon, I am sadly lacking in skills. At one time I was shooting a case of ammo a month in all kinds of scenarios and drawing and hitting my target in one simple fluid reflex action. Now I'm lucky to shoot one or two boxes a month and the speed, dexterity, and skill are just not there. If I was this store owner and went through what he did chances are good that I would have been slaughtered.
You would think that the homies would have learned not to mess with Lance. Maybe it was like the Indians sending one warrior at a time for Jeremiah Johnson?
Just think if this lady worked in the store with Lance!
Not to argue semantics, but when I think of modern day "gunfighters", I think of the likes of Skeeter Skelton, Col. Charles Askins, Bill Jordan and most of the guys from the old school Border Patrol.
