Real Gunfighter Lance Thomas

I have to agree with his statements that if you carry or have access to a weapon for self defense you have to be very proficient and be ready to use that weapon in an instant. Sadly, most of us, for whatever reason, are not. I fall into that category. Even though I carry, and can handle my weapon, I am sadly lacking in skills. At one time I was shooting a case of ammo a month in all kinds of scenarios and drawing and hitting my target in one simple fluid reflex action. Now I'm lucky to shoot one or two boxes a month and the speed, dexterity, and skill are just not there. If I was this store owner and went through what he did chances are good that I would have been slaughtered. :(
 
He has the correct mindset. Even after being hit, he stayed in the fight and won.

You would think that the homies would have learned not to mess with Lance. Maybe it was like the Indians sending one warrior at a time for Jeremiah Johnson?

Just think if this lady worked in the store with Lance!

 
Not to argue semantics, but when I think of modern day "gunfighters", I think of the likes of Skeeter Skelton, Col. Charles Askins, Bill Jordan and most of the guys from the old school Border Patrol. ;)
