Then I went and did this last night....

IMG_20200503_065722.jpg

I was wiping off the excess oxides from the FeCl3 bath on the recurve tanto. And it got me.

I could probably have used a stitch or two but I got it to stop bleeding with some clotting spray and pressure.

RR, keep some super glue on hand for this type of injury. I have glued quite a few cuts. A couple of them where it was with a very sharp object and I got it glued back quickly, it did not even get sore. The ones with the brush on the handle work really well to apply it where you want it. If you get it on real thick it takes forever to dry, so dump some baking soda on it and it will cure instantly.

THat recurve tanto is weird looking, like my eyes have a hard time adjusting to the angle change or something.
But REALLY awesome work on all of those, freaking cool stuff!

The blade shape on that cable damascus hunter is absolutely perfect in my opinion.

I usually do but it had dried up. I had epoxy but I think that might have been a bit overkill.

Sounds like a voice of experience. Maybe you should avoid sharp objects.

Getting the low layer count damascus dialed in. Time to start playing with higher layer counts.

Also basket weave holstex looks and works better than I expected.

I may have to send this blade out to @chiefjason or @gunbelt for leather though. Cause I suck at it lol.

How about some closeups of that karambit? I love a knife with a finger ring.
