Rechambering a ruger american?

Anyone know if and if so, how easy it can be done to take a ruger american 308 and rechamber to 6.5CM?

I would think the cost for a new Barrel would put you close to just buying one in 6.5cm

Just buy a new rifle unless you are looking for a better than factory barrel and just love that rifle, sentimental or something.

You're correct, I talked to a friend that's a gunsmith and he told me for a slightly thicker barrel than factory heavy barrel, to get a black and chamber/thread it, I'd be looking at $350-$400.

The Predator models has a thicker barrel so you could get it of you wanted a threaded heavier barrel
