Bought a new(to me) car, would like to get a small hitch put on. Probably just a class 2 (tow capacity is 3500lbs)
Anyone around the Triad youve had good dealings with? Anyone I should stay away from?

I had two hitches installed at what is now Camping World (the service side, not the store). Once when it was still a small private outfit and once after they sold out to CW. That, however, was about 15 years ago. Edit to add, this is the place by I40 and Sandy Ridge Rd.

Edit a second time: https://www.uhaul.com/Locations/Trailer-Hitches-near-High-Point-NC-27265/789061/
They have a section on the webpage about hitches. I seem to recall that they do this service as well, but don't have any experience with them.

Contact e-Trailer and check out what the install is like. Some are easy, some a real PITA.

@HMP what kind of car did you get?
Check out the install videos on etrailer.com and see if you want to do it yourself like @rdinatal said. I have done my own installs on all my vehicles, and they usually are not too bad. The biggest thing is having someone to lend you a hand (not really heavy duty lifting) in some cases

Bought a towing hitch from e-Trailer for Honda Pilot. Damn thing was heavy and they didnt pack it worth a damn to ship it to me. Six bolts included to install in pre drilled and tapped holes in frame. To do it right you need a lift and 3 people. Two to hold up the hitch and the 3rd with a socket wrench or gun to run the bolts in. Me and my wife did it on the floor of the garage using metal ammo cans to hold the hitch up. I will pay Raleigh/Apex Hitch next time. Too old for that $#!T!

Leonard's on Peter's Creek for work, when I was getting quotes they generally won.
Kelly's Bars and Grilles was good to deal with too.
Personally I just install them myself.

Owensby Trailers out on old High Point Rd near Adams Farm is pretty good. Not cheapest but does quality work
This.

Or if you decide you wanna try it @HMP , or want some help, send me the cars info so I can look up install. I might be able to help ya.

Long as there’s no body parts removal. Lol
I’ll remove my plastic parts, but would rather not remove yours for fear of tearing up your car

2019 Rav4 Adventure

I appreciate all of the comments
It might be a DIY thing, but then I read the one post above about weight and awkwardness...and think, "is that worth a hundred bucks to me" or something like that.
I love DIY, but I also know that I am limited in experience and time...plus it's hot A F right now.

Yall are great

Piece of cake. Literally hoist it in place and bolt it on

Raleigh/Apex Hitch did us right but they aint cheap.
My parents got a brake controller installed there today. They were verpy impressed with the place and said, “it is immaculate. You could eat off the floors te so clean”. Apparently they did right by them. Quoted a price over the phone and came in under that estimate because the wring was already in place. I sent them there based upon your recommendation. One of the examples of CFF being more than a gun forum.
