Talk about mixed emotions. Durham antifa idiot had his case thrown out today. I'm surprised the uber lefty attorney argued a pro-2A defense to get the case dismissed. I guess he's slimy enough to do anything to win, because he's surely no friend of the Second Amendment.

Sucks when the rights of d-bags are upheld, but I'm pretty sure that's how it's supposed to work. You know, rights for all, not just for the few/rich/elite or their enforcers.

Just don't try to go for lunch at Outback afterwards, I heard they're sticklers for policy.

Yup. Often times rights are affirmed by the dregs of society.

Unfortunately, the defense of Liberty is nearly always must be fought by defending scoundrels, as it's always argued that infringements are necessary because of scoundrels, that free people must be less Free because of what some societal Boogeyman may do.

Invariably, if you don't stop tyranny there, then stopping it once it begins destroying the lives of the innocent (civil asset forfeiture, no knock raids, killed pets, murdered family members) becomes decidedly more difficult.

This begins easilly enough just with complacency.

"The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all."
