Reel to Reel audio

I agree with you on the sound. I used to do odd jobs for a rich guy back home who had many studio grade setups on one wall, each one loaded with a giant "mix reel". He just hit the right buttons for the sort of music he wanted.

Makes regular tape sound like someone farting the tune into a paper bag.

Top pic is an Akai M8 with dual tube amps one for the left one for the right. I’m running it to a HH Scott R77S receiver out to some Kenwood 777’s all vintage hifi the way it is supposed to be. It will blow the same albums AND CD’s out of the water with sound quality. It is like you are in the studio with the band as they are playing.

Second one I just picked up is a Quadraphonic player. Crazy to listen to a quad tape play, sound coming at you from the front, back, and sides is weird and makes you a little dizzy.

wife even seems to like it, can’t believe how good it sounds for almost 60 years old

if anyone has reels or has a lead on reels please let me know!

TY! Looked at them and might get into recording some day. I’m looking for factory recorded tapes. I’ve had some luck at the thrift stores and such And picked up a few.
My bad, thought you wanted clean tape.
