Reflex on a pistol/SBR

I've ended up with a 10.5" .223 pistol, which will likely get a new barrel to switch it to 300 blackout. Plan is for small and maneuverable go-to gun without a lot accessories. This platform is not may area of expertise, so I'm asking here:

I like the size of a reflex, and I do not have a bunch of money to spend. For a budget of $100 or less, what are the recommendations for a decent reflex red dot. I'll have some MBUS flip-ups on there as well, and would like to co-witness.

Vortex Crossfire red dot - its a little more then $100, but lifetime no questions asked warranty is worth it IMHO.

A "go-to gun" for home/self defense or just to play around with? If it's the former I would really recommend saving up a little more and getting a higher quality optic. You can get by with the magpul backups while you save up some funds.

I wouldn't. But the Holosun I use is in the $250 range, whereas this person wants in the $100 or less range. Which the Romeo 5 doesn't meet either, but it's closer.
