I got the table for free at fieldgrades moving sale. It's a solid plywood top with folding metal legs.

Order of tasks:
1. Remove tape from edges and sand down table and fill in some of the deeper scratches and dents

2. Remove legs and spray paint them since 'this will be an outdoor table.

3. Use lbrackets to fix support boards underneath.

4. Spray the bottom to keep moisture out of wood.

5. Paint the top and redo lines.

I actually got a good idea today. I was hoping @DesignMine could make 2 very large thin cff logos I could put on each side. Before the top coat.

The logo materials and ink will have to be compatible with whatever you plan to use for the top coat.

The only other option I know of would be like a bar top veneer

I think you should draw bewbs on it before you put the clear on

If you want to maintain the integrity of the surface, it doesn't need to be a slick clear coat. It needs something with a small amount of 'tooth' to allow the ball to bite. A slick surface will negate any spin the players put on the ball.

A lacquer will have more bite than a clear coat. I'll look online

Most clear coats go over vinyl very well but the logo would have to have a good adhesion. If you are using it out doors and you are using a mold resistant paint the vinyl will often NOT stick well and it would end up bubbling. I would be happy to send you a small piece of vinyl that you could test on some scrap if you want to try it. I just can't promise it would last. With my cut vinyl I have done many sets on cornhole boards that were clear coated and there were no issues. I just can't guarantee them because of the different paints.

Maybe you could go with a stencil type logo ... single color logo one stencil ... multi color logo multi stencil set to reference marks. Just an alternative ...

The table will be covered when not played on

That is going to be one table for the ages when it's done. I'm pretty sure it was bought new in the '70's.

That will help but what I am referencing is that the vinyl decal itself may not stick well to the paint UNDER the decal. Thats just something I don't have any control of and I can't suggest one paint type over another because I haven't done that much of it and I have no clue what kind of paint/clear others have used.

The area under the decal will be sanded down to the ply wood then I can put some sort of primer down to allow it to stick better. If there is something you can recommend?

I wish I could, I have no clue what would be best and what wouldn't. I have done only a few of the installs myself and I don't know what kind/type of paint they used. I just know on one of them it had some sort of mold control/preventive and the decals just would not stick well.

Before we get that far, what size are you looking for. Lets make sure its in my range LOL

3-4 feet across and whatever height the ratio of the decal is for that length

Table is 5 x 9.

So, Ash and I challenge @Zedhound and the loser partner of your choice to a doubles match when you get that done. Loser pays for beers and ping pong balls. And no, I didn't say King Kong's Balls.

@dmarbell im down. Does my partner need to be a forum member?

If someone wants to partner up that doesn't suck I'll be done with in a few weeks when I can get the decals in.

Ha ha. After I warm you up and take a few bucks at pong, we'll go talk serious money at the pool hall at MacGregor Ale House shopping center. I'm way more than a clays and idpa shooting, trap shooting, golfing, pool hall rat, ping pong playing, chess playing, card shark accountant.

As long as it's not an Olympic Competitor who holds the paddle like chopsticks, he or she doesn't need to be a forum member. @trcubed just offered up a few bucks for the cause.

I'm flattered, but I prefer to just officiate.
And believe me, I don't call them fair.

I am amphibious, and I keep a beer in the offhand. Spillage does not count against me. <snicker>

Nice camo job on the retaining wall!
Yeah, my son camo'd my asphalt drive way red on time. He learned not to do that while scrubbing it off with a wire brush and pressure washer!
