Individually and collectively, CFF has a strong tradition of helping our fellow members whenever and however we can. Members and the forum as a group have supported each other through everything from house fires to critical medical issues. We band together to help this community at every opportunity.

That said, CFF cannot be used as a conduit for every fundraiser request that comes along.

Please do the forum's owners and your fellow members the courtesy of asking permission before posting a fundraiser.

Send a PM to any staff member to get the ball rolling. Also, please be prepared for a polite but firm, "No".

Fundraisers must be:
- Of direct benefit to a member (i.e. a member has suffered a fire or accident and a gofundme has been set up)
- Of direct benefit to one of our local communities (i.e. raffle tickets for a local church, vol fire dept, or community service organization)
- Of direct benefit to a 2A organization in North or South Carolina.

Sorry I didn't know about this rule. Who can I contact about a fundraiser?
Any staff member. You can find whoā€™s online on the home page.

FWIW, some members here are aware two separate and roughly back-to-back firearms raffles saved our oldest son from certain bankruptcy after two successful (Thank You Lord & Jesus!) battles with two separate cancers (Stage III esophageal followed by a pancreatic desmoid). He had ā€œsomeā€ health insurance but the deductibles or copays or whatever ya wanna call them were just shy of $40,000 (on way past $1/4 Million in bills total!). Buddies of his were twisting his arm to ā€œtake the easy way outā€ and file for personal bankruptcy but, despite the insane personal and medical and spiritual battles heā€™d endured he was resolute, ā€œNo way.ā€ A buddy T. Picaroni and the late (great!) Rick Burbank stepped up and approached me at the back of my truck one Saturday afternoon after a club shoot as I was cleaning my barrels and made the offer of a Glock pistol and a low grade SxS shotgun. Little did I know at that moment how, over the course of the next 6 months or so, the shooting community was going to come through for our son! And then again when he was diagnosed a second time a year later and the raffle prize was a Beretta A300...

Just posting this as I may have been skeptical about raffles before but now I know, a $20 ticket can make one heckuva difference in the life/lives of an individual / family hit by tragedy, great or small.

That is all ...

That is awesome!

The spirit of the forum policy is take care of ā€œourā€ guys. Weā€™ve proven this time after time. What we want to avoid ...and have had to deal with...is people ā€œrafflingā€ stuff for their gym, or sisterā€™s cousinā€™s next door neighborā€™s little league team.

The owners here simply want to be given the courtesy of an ā€œaskā€ before presenting something to the incredibly generous members of this community.

Asking permission makes 100% sense and especially nowadays! Looking back on it, I donā€™t think (or donā€™t recall) using any community forums to ā€œspread the wordā€ .. and I may be wrong about that as I canā€™t imagine how we were able to hear from so many ā€¦ half terrifying half blessing time to reflect back upon (shudders)

bump for edits

Short story is that we'll be a bit looser with approving fundraisers, but you still gotta ask first.

Would support of an L-PAC or Super PAC with the founding member being a Congressional GOP Candidate fall into this category?
No. Read the first post.
