I recently acquired a G4 G34 with factory barrel and a pants load of brass. I need dies, bullets and probably powder.
What are your suggestions for plink & competition loads?

Before you stock up, try 115g, 124g, and 147g bullets. I tend to like the heavier ones.

Also look at coated vs plated if you want to save a few bucks.

For dies, depends on your favorite brand. Some folks love Lee, I prefer RCBS for pistol. I have a Lee 4 die set on the corner of my workbench that’s about ready to slide into the trash. I’ll check caliber tonight, if it’s 9mm and you want it you can have it.

115 grain plated bullet, 3.0 gr. of BE

Wow, I wouldn't have even guessed that would cycle a gun unless its been very lightly sprung. Alliants website shows max charge of 4.7gr under a 115gr jacketed bullet, most of the time you would drop at least 10% and start there. Im guessing that load gives new meaning to the phrase "bunny fart." :D:D

@Chdamn , I think the website's acting up. I had a server error, a double post, someone else had a double post, and @Slacker post about the Oxford shoot went bu-bye.

I've been happy with plated 115gn or 124gn bullets myself. Lots of powders work well in 9mm, I like BE86, AA#5, Power Pistol, HP38/W231, Universal, and Titegroup. I generally load mid-range charges. For plated bullets I generally use Xtreme or RMR.

I have been very fond of 124get gold dots.

3.5gr +/- .2gr of titegroup and mine and the wife’s shield eat through them. Recoil is a little smoother than 115gr stuff and some other 124gr stuff we shoot

I use lee dies with no lube

Just as a side note 3.0 of BE will run EVERY stock sprung auto platform we have here. Too many to list. That's in all calibers.

I run RMR 124gr FMJ with HP-38 4.3-4.6gr. OAL 1.14" Nice accurate middle of the road load.

Blue Bullets 147gr over 3.2 grains if Titegroup. Should make minor and will be hard to beat for price/performance.

Of course, lighter bullets will be even cheaper.

I just sent an email as to why we're not on the discount list.

I use cast bullet in my G19, Lee TL355-124-TC and after I'm done scrub the bore or fire a mag of 124gr NATO ball thru it. My usually load lately been with Unique since I use it from .32 ACP-44 Mag and 12 ga. AA#5 works great too. For dies I use Lee but whatever you do get them CARBIDE!

Almost a month later, no response. I bought RMR 124g.

There are other discount codes out there. I've found their CS to be hit and miss, when I swung into the shop though they treated me like I was buying the place and I hadn't committed to buying anything. Good group of folks, but probably super busy. Usually get my orders next day, which is awesome.

My G17s shoot the Blue Bullets 135gr very well and my own 133gr bullets weight seems to be in a sweet spot. 3.4gr ClayDot, 3.5gr Bullseye, 3.6gr Cleanshot all make minor with a nice cushion. A 34 could probably do it with 0.10gr less.

I never got 147gr bullets to shoot better than just barely ok groups. 120-125gr did pretty well when I was messing with them.

95% of what goes thru mine is cast, either coated or lubed. The only copper clad bullet that stands out was Rainier 115gr HPs. I abandoned jacketed and plated for economy.

Thanks! I’m off to buy powder.
