A friend asked me to thread his older 1100 (1973) for choke tubes. Got the gun and it had patches of rust with bad pitting on the receiver. Convinced him to reblue it. Barrel is in pretty good shape. The stock was missing it's white diamond.
Choke and diamond done. The pits turned out to be sinkholes so could not eliminate them entirely , but greatly improved. Reciever sanded down to 400 grit. Will get the barrel today and hopefully swimming in the Blue Lagoon Monday or Tuesday.
Wood is in good shape so no work there. I get sad when I see firearms that have been neglected.
Will post more pix of the finished product.
