Picked up a Remington 550-1 a couple weeks ago. Today was the first chance I've had to try it out. I was using shots and lrs. I was getting a lot of failure to feed. It ejected fine, no problems. The lrs seemed to have the most problems but shorts were not much better. Most lrs that failed were dented or bent at the joint. Some times it failed to cock. In the one photo you can barely see a short that failed to feed. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.20200916_133505_resized.jpg 20200916_133501_resized.jpg 20200916_133644_resized.jpg 20200916_134556_resized.jpgedit
It's not shown in the photos but most of the time when using lrs the lower shell would be started in the chamber with another on top of it. That's when I would get a dented or bent shell. If that makes any difference.

Have you cleaned and lubed it?
Looks like the 22 LR has a bulged case, is that so?

Check the chamber. 550-1 has a floating chamber which allows it to use short long and long rifle. Make sure it is clean. Got to go out for a while right now. Will try to give you more later.

It was cleaned and lubed . The chamber seemed to move freely. Thanks
