A few guys and myself came together to build a 10 year old a hunting rifle. It has been an experiment to say the least
I donated a remy 600 in 308 that was in really rough shape. I ordered a *light varmint* contour barrel that ended up being way bigger than light varmint. Another buddy chambered the rifle in creed. And if you have never seen a 600 before... they had pencil barrels. After 6 hours of sanding I finally had the barrel channel cut out enough to float the barrel. I have it bedded and tonight I just painted it with the sponge camo. I cant wait to get this thing done. Right now we have around 220 bucks in this thing since the time and accessories have mostly been donated.
