Remington releases a rem700 based bolt action pistol

Add a buffer tube with castle nut, maybe a folder mechanism, then a SB Brace and you have a less than 40" (w/suppressor) .300Blk magazine fed critter getter. The .308Win and .223Rem models potential applications presently escape me.

It's kind of a poor man's version of a cross between the Q Fix & Honey Badger.

A .300Blk Rem 700 bolt gun was my 2019 project. This just got moved near the top of my list. The brace options will solidify final decision.

I would like the 12.5 inch barrel with the 308 and a silencer. It would make a good SBR for stalking deer through the Uwharries or the foot hills.

Looks like someone tried to make a savage striker look tactical like mossberg use to do with many of there items

That's just ridiculous. I mean, go for it if it trips your trigger, but....just....why?

Why not bring back the XP-100 and chamber it in .300 Blackout? That would give it a lot if versatility. It's a sexier gun and there were tons of mods from the days of silhouette. By the way, it was based on the Remington 600 action. I came so close to buying one in the '70's in the original Fireball. Had decided on it and when I went back to the store, it was gone.

$1000 is just stupid. Is it coming from the CMP?

They should just sell the action as an "other" or pistol so we can build our own...

No thanks, I have an XP100 in .221 fireball already.
Barrel change, .300 Blackout ,threaded barrel. I believe the bolt head should already be correct. Could be a lot of fun. :D Now, that I think about it, if I run across one and I have the money... Hmmm....

BTW, I hate calling it .300 Blackout. At one point I had a barrel that was .300 Fireball. JD Jones invented the cartridge years ago and it was the .300 Whisper.

There are sooo many wildcats I'd love to try, sadly I don't have the money for it.

XP100 was the shnizzle in silhouette. Most were chambered for 7mm08. What is old is new again. I guess they thought a pic tail would appeal to the millinial mall ninjas.

I like it. With a can and a folding brace you have an effective rifle that can fit in a small go bag.

I am surprised I like it, but I like it! Doesn't appear to be a replacement of an XP in any way.

I can see how this would make a handy deer gun (with a brace) when hunting from a ground blind.
