So what he's saying is.....

That the US has spent the last 73 years engaged in various hot and cold wars all around the globe. From Southeat Asia to Eastern Europe, to the Middle East to South America. In all that time not a single nuclear weapon has been used on foreign soil in any of these armed conflicts.

But he's advocating for their use domestically to put down any armed rebellion over the 2nd.

Ironically, statements like that are precisely why we have them. To even suggest subjugation by force is unacceptable.

It's 2020, Trump looses to whatever is running on the Dem/communist/socialist/marxisist ticket. They also regain the senate and hold the house. Do you not think for one minute, that the current "ilk" of politician would not push for this?????? Look what kind of people have been elected over the past couple of years. Look at the way these people complain, cry, bitch and riot when they don't get their way. And I for one, and I hate to see harm fall on anyone, am tired of the game that is being played with my GOD GIVEN RIGHTS!!! Tired of them being played with now and the unconstitutional laws passed in the 30's, 60's and the last round of BS in the 80's. So when I make a statement as I did above, I mean it to my core.

...I can't even imagine the absolute chaos that would ensue should Swalwell's wet dream actually come to fruition. Good luck, buddy. You'll get your wish in time, that I'm sure. The outcome he may not like. I wonder how much death and bloodshed the left will be able to bear before they break. - Once that public support is lost they'll have nothing.

We'll see something like this enacted on the State level first. CA, MA, whoever decides to take that first step. I'll get my popcorn ready when it does.

Agreed........and that's a good enough reason for me to let all of those constituents who may be emboldened by his foolish statements know exactly how many of US feel when the subject come up.

All in response to a dumbass op-ed he wrote where he advocates forcing people to sell back their guns via legislation and then sending the goons to arrest and prosecute any who resist. You know, active confiscation, which actually is a great big deal.
The respondant stated the opinion (fact?) that it would start a war, then Swalwell stepped in it with the nuke insinuation.

Interesting though you can leave out the dumbass op-ed.

While the nukes comment may have been an exaggeration, make no mistakes about the fact that they really do want to take our guns by force. Of course it’s easy to scream for it when it is others that will be dying for your goal while you remain in your sanitized environment.

While it's easy for each of us (beginning with me) to sit behind a keyboard and declare our "position" on these hot topic issues, I'm convinced that we all would be grossly disappointed in how many on this very forum are prepared and have the resolve to follow through on the actions that are needed when that time arrives. I'm with @BatteryOaksBilly and others regarding the fact that the clock is ticking on the countdown toward deciding to take action or keep on ranting with the "chin music" that no longer has an effect on radical groups who hate us and everything we stand for. I'm sick of it.

My comments are not to divide here but only to state what I sadly believe will be the reality when the time arrives for us to act upon our stated convictions. My wife and I discuss this quite often and it breaks our hearts that our children and grandchildren will not live in a country that has enough dedicated citizens left in it to stop the onslaught by the radicals.

And for the record...……….Yes; I do consider these people radicals in case anyone on here has doubts about how I really feel about these statements and movements across the nation. Keeping the ammo dry in our quarters...….you do what works for you.
