I am needing to replace all the windows in an older home to prepare it to sell. Im looking for suggestions for decent windows and a decent price. I would love to find someone that does installation as well. The house is in Ruffin,NC

Can't help you with the installation but I put Anderson windows from Home Depot in the Colorado house and I'm happy with them so far. I have had Martin out of Martinsville recommended to me as a good window.

window world was pretty good, we did our whole house for like 325 a window installed, cant beat that price.
Window World customer here too. They did a good job with our picture window.

We did Champion in our previous house. Awesome windows. No heat at all from direct sun light in the summer. The slight tinting was such that it was hard to see in from outside. Yet from inside Tha m they looked barely tinted.

I gotta tell you, windows and doors are so easy even a CZfool could do them. On the ground floor. I replaced 3 sets of windows and a set of French doors on my walkout basement with my geezer father in law helping. We knocked them out in one day and trimmed them out the next. Weekend project. I was nervous about it, but it was very easy. And the new ones were installed much better than the original crap from the builder.

Install them from the inside. Scaffold to capp outside. It's easy most the time, but it ain't always easy. You run into stuff out of square, having to adjust them ect on some houses, or might have to tear down an entire wall of siding and put it back up if it's run behind certain windows.
I don't, would only for a special situation or someone. I'm working another day job 14 days or so a month, and Siding and Windows is my second job. Most the work we do is in SE NC and NE SC east of I 95.Zedhound;n81144 said:
