I've reused them to seal up jars in the fridge. Not worth getting botulism IMO, esp when big lots sells a box of lids for $0.99

Dang lids r $5 up here....I've been tempted but like @iksarus1 says it's not quite worth it.

It's almost as cheap to buy the cases of jars for now until the lids come back around. I've still got a lot of Tattlers as go to's.

You can spot a deal on new jars if you keep an eye out. I'm always looking...the old grey blind squirrelly thang.

If you boil them and the seal looks good, I say go for it.

Then again, I'm not afraid of a few germs.

Buy Tattler lids. Designed to be reused.

boil em and go for it. Generally know if they don't seal cause they don't pop down. use those quick. The ones that sealed should be fine.

I don't pressure can, I just regular can, so no, not touching that with a ten foot pole. I already chance things by relying on just heat, sugar, and acid.

I have reused them after inspecting to make sure the seal looks good and the lid is undamaged. Prefer to stock up on new ones when I find deals. Never had an issue with jars not sealing or food issues.

Reuse them after opening while the jar is in use.

Use new ones when canning again. They're not that expensive.
