Despite a number of negative comments on the Sig Romeo - specifically the 5 - I'd like to offer a few personal observations.

I put a 5 on my Ruger PC 9 and found it ideal for the platform. It is easy to mount and easy to use. The red dot adjusts extremely well from low light to the brightest sun with only a little blooming in very bright sun, which does not impair aiming.

I have never been an optics guy, but I have had a 'road to Damascus' moment over the past year and the Sig makes me a better shot with the PC 9.

I can even vouch for its drop test claim, as the first thing I did was bounce it from chest high off a concrete floor while installing it, resulting in one small scratch to the finish on the mount and no further damage.

I used it to sight in my PC 9, and the results are below (10-shot groups, 25 yds, offhand). Group inaccuracies can be blamed on me and the deer flies feasting on my flesh.

I put a Bushnell mini red dot on a Roni this weekend. My first experience with either. My experience mirrors yours. I too was late to the party. Geezer and I tried the Evan Marshall theory of Red Dot Optics. Marshall was asked by a member of a group he was training..What do we do if the battery is dead at a critical moment? Marshall replied..if they are in the tube press the trigger. IT WORKS...Mansized target at 25 yards is CLANG,CLANG,CLANG by just centering it in the tube and pressing the trigger.

I have two Romeo 5s and they both just work, well. One is on my .300blk pistol and the other is on a 10.5" 5.56 upper and both give excellent accuracy for my purposes. The optical glass on this RDS is above average, esp for the $119 price PSA is blowing them out at.

I have one on my 300blk pistol and I really like it, I’ve got several Aimpoints and Holosun optics and while Aimpoints are my preferred optic I can honestly say I’d buy another Romeo 5 if I needed another RDS, granted if I was headed to a combat zone I’d grab the Aimpoint, but for paper punching & gaming the Romeo 5 is very hard to beat for the price imo.

Several of the new shooters that have shot my rifles have gone with the Romeo 5 over the Holosun even though they are similar in price and features, when they find out how much Aimpoint PROs and T1s cost they tend to choke a bit lmao!

Romeo 5, PA, Vortex, Holosun, they all do extremely well for the price and for what most of us need.

I have multiples of all except the Romeo, which a friend has, and it just comes down to preferences and current sales.

Yep. I do really like the way the lens cover is contoured to fit so the strings are out the way on the Romeo.
