Revolver Picture Thread

Shoots very well. The unattractive fiber-optic site is functional. Again, nice trigger pull. Feels solid. Nice shooting snub.

Not as nice and fancy as most of the wheel guns in this thread...and probably only one that really counts to most of you. But here's what I now have:

IMG_9225.JPG

And with a couple carry options:

IMG_9226.JPG

For the record:
Charter Arms Pitbull 2.5" .45 (Blacknitride)
Charter Arms Pitbull 2.3" .40 (Blacknitride)
Charter Arms Pitbull 2.2" 9mm (stainless glass beaded)
Rossi 2" .357
Rossi 6" 22LR Plinker

Galco Ankle Glove
@chiefjason custom black OWB leather (fits the .40 & 9mm Pitbulls)
@chiefjason custom brown OWB leather for Rossi

Good looking lineup! How you like that Charter Arms .45 ?

The Blacknitride finish on it is better than the .40 version. Just picked it up a couple weeks ago and haven't gotten to the range, yet. (Same goes for the Glock 21 bought around the same time...my first two .45s)

I've been away a lot for work and new baby stuff. Not too many news guns in the past few weeks...but picked this up today. Bought it from a forum member at the other NC forum.

This is a 1981 Smith & Wesson Model 13-2 with a 3" barrel. The 3" K Frame is a fantastic carry gun. I've got several. Hard to beat a blued, pinned, recessed, .357 in 3". It's in very good shape. Hasty photos in bad lighting don't do it justice. A few blemishes here and there, but only minor. Mechanically 100% (I assume, have not shot it yet but it feels good)

EDIT - Removed old photos. Took better photos. A diaper changing pad makes a good backdrop.

There's been some discussion on here about S&W Model 12 and other K frame snubs. Inspired me to carry a Model 12 today. These are one of the best and most overlooked revolvers for deep concealment. Super light weight. 6 shots. Right size. Also, with a Barami hip grip it is, in my opinion, a better in-waist-band carry than the J frame. Why? Why? The entire cylinder falls below the belt line to make it less bulky. Also, a 1.5 inch belt comes to rest on the flat area between the Barami grip and behind the cylinder recoil shield. It is very stable and secure. Aluminum frame is less prone to corrosion. Would do a better post, but using iPhone.

HA. Those idiots at Photobucket want me, an apparently everybody else, to pay $400 to restore my links. Seriously. They are holding my revolver picture posts hostage. Not going to happen.

Nope. Not going to do it. I had no notice this was going to happen. Nearly every photo that I've posted anywhere for the last 14 years has been linked from photobucket.

Photobucket can go eat a dick.

John at m1911.org forum sent out an email to members a few days ago saying Photobucket was going to do this.

Picturetrail has worked well for me...thus far. o_O

Just got this refinished, kinda. M13 with a bull barrel and an aristocrat sight rib.

Interesting. I saw something like that hanging on the wall of a shop in Rockingham, NC one time. Any chance that this is the same one?

I bought this at Ed's in Vass. The finish was pretty rough, but mechanically it's solid. One side of the barrel said "Maryland Gun Works" and the other said "built for June Montgomery". So I cleaned it up, milled a flute down the barrel, (because I am not June Montgomery) bead blasted it, and re-blued it for now.

1958 Colt Detective Special. Looks as if someone attempted to Duracoat or Cerakote the hammer/trigger gold at some point and the cylinder was nickle at one time. It shoots great and is silky smooth with great lockup and timing. Colt.jpg

Aw shucks, thanks. Took that one with my iPhone 7 this morning.

It ain't so much the photo... it's the subject of the photo, an' the caliber.

You really can't name but a short few other revolvers that, by themselves, define "revolver."

Colt 45 SAA is another one...
It says "Bitch, you dont want none. "

This is a very rare NYPD Ruger, Model GF-84NYCPD Police Service Six (stainless). Folks say that there are about 10-12 in circulation( this particular model), but there have to be more. I do not believe that they are so uncommon.

This was made / shipped in mid-1987 and sent to NYPD's equipment section. These were not issued; rather, officers purchased the weapons directly from the department. Double action only internals. It has the NYPD armorer's "star" stamp in the crane. It is about the same size as a K Frame Smith & Wesson, a bit bigger. Chambered in .38 Special, as opposed to the usual .357 Magnum. It fills a hole in my growing collection of NYPD revolvers.

Anyone know about the "R" stamped in the crane?

Wow! That's fascinatin', Prosecutor!
Didn't know ya had a collection of NYPD guns.
I'd like a collection of vintage single action revolvers from marshals an sheriffs in famous towns in the west...
even repros would be good with me.
Don't have the first one yet!

I always wanted a security six in .357 but that one is awesome in its own right!

My smaller revolvers get more attention and carry time...but every so often I grab an N Frame for the bedside gun rotation. Tonight it is a Smith & Wesson 28-2 Highway Patrolman loaded with .38 + P LSWC. Because .357 would be too loud inside :)

My pride and joy
My S&W Mod 19 in .357 mag, when I got it, it still had the inspectors sticker on the butt and had maybe 6 rounds fired through it.
