Revolver Picture Thread

Tell him I'll bring some rubbing compound and a Dremel in October. :D

Send it to me and I will gladly install the TylerT. Might take a while to get it back to you.

Thanks Billy. Appreciate that. I’ve still got a stash of Tylers. Spent a fortune on them when it looked like Tyler was going out of business. That didn’t work out too well for me. I dig the T grips but overpaid by a wide margin...especially for K Frame RB. Ha.

My friend who is bedridden as an "incomplete quadraplegic" let me take these two revolvers to get the triggers lightened so he can pull 'em. The work was done by an 80 yr old feller who used to be a gunsmith for a large metro PD. He said the marks under the grips of the 36 indicate that it has been in the Performance Shop. He did a fantastic job!

Not sure how how those PD armorers and gunsmiths do it...but some can work magic on a trigger. I have a 3" Model 64 with a trigger so light that it, in my opinion, it defies the laws of physics. Works every time. Nice snubs.

On the road today and adquately armed with just this well-worn Model 38.

Anyone who likes to carry snubs should have at least one ragged bodyguard Smith that can go in a pocket, briefcase, waistband, etc..with no concern about finish wear or appearance.

The new (relatively) 66-8 looks a lot better without the black hardware. Not sure why Smith thought that black screws, thumbpiece, hammer, and trigger were a good idea. Anyway, swapped out the thumbpiece and screws. Probably won’t bother with hammer and trigger. I know, I know, can’t do much about the lock (beat you to it).

Robertson Trading Post online. You get immediate shipping...not the months long wait you get from Tyler directly. I think Robertson Trading Post has a lot of inventory on eBay and GunBroker.
Thanks I'll check them out right now.

You get these off that guy on Armslist?

No. Got an email from Aim Surplus last Friday. Think they sold out in something like an hour for select grade and maybe a day for rack grade

Awesome! I hate I missed out on that.

This one is not as in good of shape as my model 64 and my other model 10 which were from Victoria Australia police. This one will require a good cleaning and polishing and I will go from there. The action does feel solid and locks up nicely though.

Did you opt for run select grade, or regular? I purchased one, hope to pick it up from the FFL today.
