3 1/2" barrel Frontier .45 Colt (Cimarron/Pietta) makes the gongs ring nicely.

Star-Line brass minus 7.8 grains of Unique and 255 grain SWC's.

Smith Model 58 in .41 mag while hunting outside of Fairbanks AK, Oct 13'. Took the Spruce Grouse with a Remington 870, Smith for size comparison to Grouse. Bake them in coals along a river. Bear load was a home cast 270 gr WFN under H110. In town carried Win 175 gr STHPs.

@BatteryOaksBilly, in the shot with the two PPC guns, top gun, the cylinder appears to be machined where the locking notches are. I’ve seen this in pictures of custom guns, many by Grant Cunningham. Does that smooth action any, or what is the purpose for this?

Just some target fmj 115 gr.....put in the moon clips mainly so I could keep up with the clips lol. Just got this in today.

Nothing wrong with that ammo mred20. It'll get you to the vitals and that's what it's all about.

The factory grips on my retro SW 27 were just too skinny. They looked good but the trigger guard rapped my knuckles on each shot. The factory grips on the round butt SW 21 were...silly. Way too small to hold onto the revolver comfortably. I tried a pair of rubber Pachmeyer grips and while practical they define ugly.

I bought two sets of grips from Altamont on Ebay and they turned out to be pretty nice. I shot both revolvers on Saturday and the grips are nice and steady.

At one time I owned a model 28 on which I installed the factory magnum grips that looked a lot like the Altamonts. The 'coke bottle' factory grips are going north of $150 these days!

And just because...my SW model 1937 Brazilian .45. No collector value due to refinish but it sure can shoot straight!

Good thing you didn't listen to that voice. ;)

I often find it best not to listen to or pay any attention to myself voice or otherwise. That's how I treat others so it's good enuff for me.
