My wife and I watched it on Directv pay per view last night. We normally don't pay to watch anything but under the circumstances, we decided to rent the movie.

I remember back when all of that mess happened. I'm not sure how much Hollywood fiction was introduced into the movie, but the overall story is accurate.

We thought it was good.

If you do watch it, be prepared to get pissed off to the max.

Have you seen the Spectrum On Demand series? I wonder how they compare.

The Spectrum series is much better than the Eastwood movie. With 10 episodes, they are able to stretch the character development out over more time, and they go into Rudolph’s character a lot, which the movie did not. Also the acting I thought was much better in the series.

The series was definitely good.
Season 2 in the Mind Hunter series that started on Netflix. The actor that plays RJ plays one of the serial killers in Mind Hunter. I think Richard Speck.

My wife and I really enjoyed the series. Haven’t seen the movie yet.

I meant to post in here weeks ago, almost a month ago, now.
I had recorded this on my DVR, is/was on one of the movie channels and I had finally gotten around to watching before switching off for a week.

I didnt know the story all that well, so I was fresh to this.
I liked the movie alright. It, to me, seemed 'fair.' Let me explain, please.
I say fair because I feel like they portrayed almost everyone in the movie with flaws, no one as a saint.

I dont know how accurate it was that Jewel was in his acting as an LEO at all times, but it painted him in a bad light at first. But, as it went, you felt for the guy. Especially when you saw how slutty the reporter was in getting her information, how the FBI guy was willing to give up a name for some tang, and how this sort of loser-ish guy got railroaded by the media. And fast.

He went from hero to villain over night, it seems.

The movie really made no reference to Rudolph, until the very end when it stated that he was the one responsible. But I was glad to see Jewel get back into 'real' law enforcement in some capacity by the end of it all.
His speech at the end, in the FBI office - awesome.

It also made me think about this site and how the government has no issue turning something quite harmless around on someone to make them look bad.
