Howdy,
So i'm currently on the hunt for a stock that unfortunately so far appears to be a ghost. I have a Charger takedown that I plan on SBR'ing on a form 1 and I'm trying to identify the right chassis before the paperwork comes back. Requirements (loose barring suggestions):
Charger takedown
replaceable ar-15 style grip
collapsible folding stock (ar-15 buffer tube style) but part of the chassis as opposed to picatinny mount)
So a note on the last one. I know the charger has a picatinny mount. Maybe there is an option out there that I'm missing but what I hate about most of the ones I've read about or encountered is the weird folding action. Its usually like a two hand deal where you have to push down on the rear of the receiver and lift of on the stock to move the vertical pin to get it to rotate (hope that makes sense) Drives me nuts and part of the reason I got rid of my AK-V
So far the closest options I've found are:
A: the AGP arms https://agparms.com/agp-arms-modular-folding-brace-kit-designed-for-22-charger-takedown/ which has a slick folding mechanism and brace that could be replaced with any stock but the grip is molded into the chassis so its not interchangable and from what I've heard its weirdly thin
B: SB-22 -- Interchangable grip but the stock is picatinny attachment
I guess if anyone knows of picatinny folding stock adapters that don't have the weird folding action I described above and feature an ar-15 style collapsible tube that might solve the problem but so far I haven't found one. Completely open to any and all suggestions.
Cheers,
Adam
