Recently got a KILLER deal on a Ruger LCP gen 2 with several mags and a Hogue grip. Gun is in immaculate condition. Thinking about adding the RTK Sweet Pea trigger along with the 13lb spring and SS guide rod. Has anyone here performed these "upgrades"?

This thread could be neat! They also have parts for the bodyguard. I am interested to see if anyone has any experience with their parts good or bad as I am considering doing some upgrades for my pistol.

I have used their triggers on 2 different Kel-Tecs. Both times I didn't feel that I got the end results that I was expecting for the dollars spent.
I don't think the LCP II would benefit much from a trigger change. I'm not a fan of SS guide rods either. I've never had a plastic guide rod give any problems.

Update: I purchased the 13# spring, SS Guide Rod, and the Sweet Pea Trigger. I have to say...Installation of the trigger was simple, and as a whole, everything together made a felt difference in recoil and trigger pull. Maybe psychological but the trigger pull seems smoother and there is less travel on the reset. Overall I am pleased.

That’s great news. Thanks for the info!

I installed the Galloway Precision short stroke trigger bar kit in my S&W Bodyguard .380 a couple of years ago when they first came out. I have had no issues with it and it works really well. Galloway has discontinued that kit in favor of the Santiago Trigger upgrade kit that uses the stock trigger bar with a replacement hammer that is forged and heavier (weight wise) than the stock hammer. The reconfigured release notch on the hammer is what reduces the length of trigger pull. I bought that kit for my wife's Bodyguard. I use Galloway parts on my .45 cal. SA Inc XDs also. (The high power recoil spring). Galloway is a NC company and makes good stuff.
