I recently inherited these two firearms. Other than searching the internet for opinions, I have no idea how to evaluate antique firearms. I know the conditions of the piece has a great bearing on value. If anyone (with experience) can provide any advice or direction I would greatly appreciate it.

1. Russian Mauser 91/30 7.62x54; original bayonet

2. Spanish Mosin Nagant 1916 .308

I think you might have them mixed up.
Russian Mosin Nagant and Spanish Mauser. Pics of receiver markings would help confirm.

Unless it's something special, I've seen Mosins go lately for $200 and change. Maybe a little more if it's really nice. Receiver markings would help with value.

Converted 7.62/308 Spanish Mausers are running about the same, maybe a little more. They aren't as collectible as the same in the original caliber.

I'm sure someone else will be along to confirm or correct if I'm off.

What you have appears to be a common, Russian refurbished wartime production (round receiver) Mosin Nagant 91/30. As pointed out above, it should sell between $200-$250, depending on various factors such as:

Arsenal (Tula or Izhevsk)
Overall exterior condition
Matching numbers or not
Bore condition
Muzzle condition
Location of import mark

From the pictures, yours looks to be in very good exterior condition. If the bore is good, I would expect it to sell easily somewhere between $225-$250 give or take a few $$$. Online retail prices are higher, but honestly, there are 10 million of them in U.S. circulation, and Roses sold tens of thousands of them in NC for $29.99 back in the 90's, so they tend to sit for a while here at higher prices.

The Spanish Mausers I still see moving for the same money $200-$250 in good shape. Usually closer to $200 in rough to average condition, but they do have a small following. These were also pretty cheap at retail when they were still on the market about a year and a half ago. But I hear they are good shooters.

They should continue to appreciate if you decide to hold onto them.
