Is there anywhere in NC you can Boondock in an RV? I hate campgrounds. The idea of driving to a beautiful area and paying money to pull into a transient mobile home park with a bunch of drunks, dogs, kids, and generators on top of me makes me want to set my RV on fire and push it off a mountain. I'd rather camp in Walmart parking lots...

Now that I got that that rant out of the way...

Anyone know of cool places? I could use something near Pilot Mt and around the Asheville area for sure.

EDIT: My RV is a 2WD 2500 short wheelbase Sprinter... And no campgrounds...

I've seen people with small campers all over Pisgah NF fire roads but you better have 4wd and plenty of ground clearance on the RV. The most memorable being a small 8ft box Viking pulled by a ratty old 80s Dodge that had an SKS in a gun rack. I think he may have been cooking meth though

Like said above, small RV and 4 wheel drive would be best. Steele Creek area has a couple spots. Craig Rd around Upper Creek. The main issue is a road might have one or two that are accessible. If they are full you have a problem.
