Just picked this up in a trade and am really looking forward to shooting it. I plan on carrying this while hiking and wouldn’t mind some holster recommendations.

I really like the leather that @chiefjason did for my M66. Otherwise, all of my words guns wear SimplyRugged leather.

Saw one of these in a dealer's case at a show recently. Nice gun, but I don't own any 44's and the @$700 price tag scared me off. Cool gun and I was tempted to try to trade him out of it though.

I often think about finding one of those. I procrastinate because I like to load/carry/shoot bullets heavier than 200 grain in .44 specials.

We are running some 325 grain Cast Performance Hammerheads at around 600 FPS outta CAs. Full signature key holes at 10 yards but right to point of aim. Man do they slap steel!

Nice Centennial mattahoe53. I pocket EDC a Smith 442 Centennial when home. For woods roaming I use a CA 3" .44 SPL Bulldog made in 69'. First two rounds shotshells (snakes) and next 3 240gr LSWC (black bear/2 legged vermin). Both loads under Unique and cast my own bullets. For a recommendation for a holster, first where and how do you plan on hiking. Day bag or backpack? Reason, if you use the waist strap of a backpack then you may not want a hip holster. May suggest either a chest holster (shoulder holsters may interfere with backpack straps) or a fanny pack. A pocket holster may work if you hike with larger cargo pocket trousers/shorts. I would discuss this with Chief Jason above or suggest looking at Hill People gear.
