Need to read the thing I found on fb describing what happens when you buy one of these or ride in one. I’ll PM it to ya. Pretty sure it’s not safe to post here

Some of these can’t be registered for road use ... emissions and safety regs.

I know where there’s a 5 ton that isn’t registered for road use. Used to get driven a lot, when asked , the owner said “who’s gonna stop a military vehicle?”

This one says it has a clean MD title.

But the real question is this - whats the MPG?

I'd like that PM please, or reconsider posting it here for all to enjoy. Im genuinely interested/curious what it is like
As BA as this truck seems I'd NEVER have one, or really ever have a chance to be inside of one, so it'd be interesting to read more about it

Ahh... but the original Jeeps were not powerhouses either, but the got where they needed to go.

Super complex vehicle, looks like. You'd need a couple more for parts, but it would be fun!

For some years 3rd party registration in more “friendly” states gets you a title after filing the SF97 is filed and returned successfully. The problem comes when you go to bring it into your home state quite a few states (even down to county level) will not register them and issue a title in that state. Some have gotten by it by using collector type plates or such but it is not just walk in to the DMV office and walk out. Here I know one case specifically here in NC where the person had to go thru an agency in Florida to get a clear Florida title which actually did not use the word Humvee or such but AMG Utility Vehicle ... and they registered it in a small coastal county they had a second home in instead of their highly regulated liberal home county where they would be flagged for emissions, light height, safety features along with a few others. I also know of 3 people in Texas, yes Texas, that were flat out told NO on the mil-surp Hummers but the H1 civilian built version AMG offered late 1990’s thru early 2000’s is okay.

As to MPG the couple I know of are turbo diesel and the owners don’t worry about diesel (unless there is some shortage in supply) but they claim maybe 10mpg and over $100 to fill it up is not uncommon.

I'd love a basic 4 door soft top to play around with on our farm. My wife has a friend who has on and they run the crap out of theirs on their horse farm.
I think I'd make a removable deer stand type of thing to mount on top and just move the shooting platform around when I wanted. Pull it off when shooting time is over.
