Salisbury Gun Show this weekend - 9/7-9/8

The smaller local type shows are the ones where I have found some great finds and deals. If the promoter protects his show’s reputation and keeps the better dealers/sellers happy he’ll do well.

He has spent years on the dealer side of the table and it shows. He went out of his way this weekend to help the dealers. Even got rid of a pinhooker who camped out at the front of the show trying to grab every gun that came in. A dealer finally had enough and talked to the promoter. The promoter gave him the option of buying a table, walking around and not staying in one place, or leaving. That was the last we saw of the guy. He also kept the quality of the show high - highest percentage of guns in a show I have seen in a while.

There were some good deals on tables. One guy had a ton of used handguns and had some super deals on his table. He had a 1980s Beretta 92FS for $350ish, which I thought was fantastic. Metal guide rod and everything. I already have on that is LNIB, or I would have snagged it.

Hope this show becomes a permanent fixture. Maybe he’ll add a Spring Show. Who’d have thought Salisbury might become my favorite gun-Show town? I was surprised to see the dealers from the eastern part of the state that made the drive to the smallish, first-time show in Salisbury. Wish him good success.
