This weekend is the Salisbury Gun Show in conjunction with the NC Gun Collector's Association show. Part NCGCA members, part regular Salisbury show. It was a lot of fun last year. Located at the West End Plaza Event Center (Old Salisbury Mall). The address is 1935 Jake Alexander Blvd West.

Last year, it was a good mix of collectible guns, ammo, and militaria along with a regular gun show with modern guns and ammo. We had a lot of fun there and will be there this weekend.

Free parking. Comfortable venue (an old JC Penney's store - looks really classy to have a show in there, actually). Easy access from US 70 or I-85. Easy in and out traffic-wise.

Anyone else going?

$7, if I recall correctly. Free parking.

Heading that way now

EDIT: Didn't get there. Maybe tomorrow.

Looks like I won't make it.Work is taking priority right now. We are working today and Sunday. Been overtime all week for us. We get busy during hurricanes.

Drat...did not know about this show til now. Sounds like fun and different than a promoter show. I've been to a few Gun Collector shows in KY and OH and they were much better than the beef jerky and turquoise shows down here. Just got back from taking the wife to the Red & White near Rocky Mount. Driving puts me to sleep and aggravates my chronic sore neck. Have fun!

any updates from folks who made it today?
Maybe I can swing by tomorrow

Pretty good crowd today. There are a number of really interesting (some really expensive) collector guns. One dealer bought a huge estate of reloading stuff and had a pile of really off-the-wall dies, brass, ammo, etc. His prices weren't giveaway, but they were very good. There are some dealers with primarily newer stuff and several individual collector tables with everything from old military to old commercial guns. For the size of the show, it is an excellent assortment and I actually found several good deals (like a pile of Lee bullet molds for $5 each!).

They are having one in December. Don't know if NCGCA will be partnering on the show or not.

NCGCA will have a stand alone show in Morganton Early December

Salisbury next show December 16-17 as above, unsure of participation from NCGCA.

will tell ya, without NCGCA the pickin's would be a lot different... i understand this last salisbury show was a 'sell out' for tables....
and i understand a similar situation exists like recent asheville show where some vendors are not encouraged to participate.... the ones with very competitive prices on new guns....

Salisbury venue is ok, but truly not enough bathroom capacity for the size.... did see some areas where lighting can be improved also.
was certainly glad to see the kid selling drinks... i started on the wrong side of the room.....

Agreed on the bathroom situation 100%.
