You guys mentioned I "lifted my head" instead of following through.

In hindsight, I think it was recoil head bounce.

Yep! @Dave951 generously let me burn some of his ammo! As did @Theodore Maynard in his Trapdoor Springfield.

Between that day and our woodswalk (and those just the most recent), I'm finding these BP guys are an incredibly welcoming & generous crew.

Wish, uh, I was closer. I have a Trapdoor, rolling block and half a dozen muzzleloaders and I really enjoy a relaxed black powder session.

Well @Theodore Maynard and I live in the Winston area so we're not that far away. We're also planning on shooting in a couple local BPCR matches with the roller and the trapdoor.
