SBR Sig 522 Questions

Hello All,

I have been wanting to SBR my Sig 522 for quite a while and I'm finally getting off my butt and getting it done. I have receiver packed up for engraving and the form 1 treatment from Scott at Tarheel.

My question is about lengths. I would love to have bulk pack subsonic. So 4" barrel fine? Or should I go 4.5"? I guess for overall length find factory length and subtract 12" if I go with 4" barrel?

Anyone else here SBR one?

I did 4.5" on my M&P 15-22. 4" would definitely work.

I'd measure it the proper way to see exactly what the current barrel is, and subtract as needed to get new OAL.

BigWaylon do you mind posting a picture of your M&P? What length handguard did you go with? I am trying to start picking out parts now. Handguard is likely first and I want suppressor to be tucked under handguard. So any input would be appreciated.

I cut the factory polymer quadrail with a bandsaw.
