And if you did, were you able to keep it? (As a rifle, if you didn't have the NFA can)? ATF ruling was total Bull$#@! (I'm referring to the one with the integrated baffles.)

Only his has a cheap Ruger 10/22 barrel on it I think. Hahahahaha! (inside jokes)
You cannot leave us hanging like that. What is the joke.. come on, we love hearing stuff like this.

Maybe he'll show up and comment!

Probably shouldn't have mentioned it, as prob still steam coming out of his ears, lol.

I have an MPX pistol but decided to keep it that way and use an SB Tactical telescoping brace. I shoot with a buddy at his farm in Virginia quite a bit (less than a 10 minute drive). I knew an SBR can be tricky about state lines. I wish they didn't have such asinine rules but oh well.

There's not anything "tricky" about it. One form, once a year. I filed them for 10 states and 11 firearms a couple months ago. Took

Geiselle is working on a MPX specific SSA trigger. Larue's MBT works in these and Mark L. said he would replace any that break in an MPX.

Hahaha! It's still my favorite tactical single shot!

I had a love/hate relationship with my MPX while working the kinks out, but I couldn't blame SIG for it. After I got my form 1 back I ended up sending the upper off to Innovative Arms to have an integral conversion done. They ported the barrel with way too many holes and basically turned it into a single shot. I mean enough holes that the bolt wouldn't even move after firing it. They said that they never had that problem before. After sending it in I got a call from Phil (super nice guy) and when I asked if the barrel had too many ports he said that wasn't the problem (wtf?). They ended up building me a new barrel from a blank and porting that one (with less holes, even though that wasn't the problem *rolls eyes*), and after getting that one back it turned out that the chamber was too tight to feed any of the 37 different brands of factory 9mm that I had. Called innovative and they said it fed their ammo no problem at all. I asked if they could ream the barrel for me. They said to send it in and they would take a look. I got a call back after they received it and they said the chamber was fine and they would send it back. By this point I'm ready to throw the gun off a cliff. I get back the upper and factory ammo drops in just fine. They claim they didn't touch it so it must have been some magic voodoo going on while it sat in the UPS truck to and from.

So, my initial impressions of my MPX were that it was a 9mm AR that I now hated to death. Up until this point my CZ scorpion has been my go-to 9mm SBR. I shoot it suppressed 100% of the time, never clean it, can run any ammo through it with minimal blowback and it just chugs along. Fast forward to now when I have a functioning suppressed integral MPX and I'm very happy with it. Granted I wish that there was another port or two to keep 115gr subsonic (isn't that the whole point of an integral?), but it seems to sound pretty damn good with the 124gr federal suppressor ammo that cracks out of my other 9mm SBRs. I will say that unlike my Scorpion it will gas you to death with certain factory loads. With Slacker's reloads (thanks, Ryan) or certain factory subs it does fine, but with others it's almost unshootable. Given that mine has a Geissele SSA-E along with noticeably less recoil than my scorpion I will probably be using the MPX over the scorpion for future 2-gun matches. If you like AR controls, you will like the MPX.

Here a pic of my SBR MPX on a range trip today. Not a whole lot of aftermarket parts. I did replaced the handguard so it would cover up the suppressor. I haven't had any problems out of my MPX. Used my own reloads, shooting suppressed most of it life. All of my buddies who shot it say they like it. They say its heavier than the CZ Scorpion, which is understandable being more polymer on the Scorpion.

BTW, that an awesome price on them mags

Gorgeous setup DnB_Tek! I haven't decided if I will keep mine or not. I am hoping Sig releases the "k" length barrel (4.5"). It was my understanding that Sig ramped up MPX & MCX production due to political predictions rather than make conversions and such. They were just trying to get as many out the door in case another van came down the pipeline from a potential presidential candidate. An insider said we can expect Sig to go back to their original plans of caliber conversions and mutilple barrel lengths since the election went the other way.

I was told by a couple dealers that Sig is raising the price on both the MPX & MCX soon. When I asked the Sig employee, he wouldn't deny it. He just said both platforms cost more than expected and he couldn't comment on price changes.

That sucks that you had to go through that with your MPX. I am glad it is doing good now. Do you have any photos of the MPX after integrally suppressing it? I bet it is sweet. The integrally surprised MP5's are my favorite subguns ever.

One that really impressed me about the MPX was the very high quality of it. At least to my eyes and hands, it is very apparent why it cost more than some other guns.

For those who need mags.

$20 per mag. Super cheap shipping and a free mag holder
http://gunmagwarehouse.com/sig-mpx-gmw-holiday-kit-triple-mag-pouch-with-3-30-round-magazines.html

They have gen 2 same price.

Gen 2 out of stock. Fwiw, straight from Sig, they have dropped the 3 mag and holder. Said 'it wasn't supposed to run as long as it did'. Sig has been doing some weird things lately. Dropping the 20% register your warranty coupons, etc... and don't get me started on the MCX fiasco.

Bump from the dead.

Finally got off my butt and filed the form. Just received it back last week. It's still waiting on the yhm wraith can that I also dragged my butt on.
