so, since people have pretty much adopted these new “pistols” and “arm braces” the SBR market is way down, and ATF is reporting that approvals are coming back in something like 2 weeks.

My question is this
I have heard that since Remmy Tac14’s are “firearms” and not “shotguns” they cannot be converted to SBS or AOW...
Anyone know the validity of this?
Thanks

You could convert one into either. The fact they’re firearms instead of shotguns is why an AOW is a possibility.

Lots of people are converting the Shockwaves and Tac14s into SBSs since you don’t have to chop a barrel and figure out new sights. Simply swap the stock.

I don’t think an AOW makes much sense since the F1 stamp is $200 just like it is for an SBS. Why limit yourself? The only thing an AOW stamp would really get you is the ability to put a shorter non-stock grip on it, and the factory grip isn’t that big to begin with.

Convert it to an SBS and then configure it however you choose...whether that looks like an AOW or SBS.

My Shockwave is an AOW, because I bought it before they were called Shockwaves. And I didn’t have a $5 AOW stamp, and this was an easy way to get one (transferring it on a Form 4).

What I was thinking was SBS in it, then adding a foregrip, and a Knoxx comp stock to absorb felt recoil, maybe a sidewinder Kit so it’s Mag fed...
Nice little breacher

After Christmas I'll be grabbing the Tac13 and Form 1ing it. Should be legit for under $900.
