SCCY's The Limit **UPDATE 11/11/2018**

Probably more reliable than the Sig P365...
LOL. I would have agreed with that until I was prodded into buying one. Mine has been flawless thru 250 rds of reloads, ball and jhp.
The gun fits in my pocket, and with 12+1 at the ready, don’t see how it can be beat.
I have seen the SCCY at gun shows and they look like great buys for the money.

SCCY #2 got a few rounds through it today. I did strip this one and give it a clean and lube job before shooting it. As was expected, it ran without a problem. In full disclosure, only 8 magazines (80 rounds) were put through it today. Just like the first one, accuracy was good. The main drawback to these guns is the trigger re-set. Re-set is allllllllllllll they way out. If you short stroke the re-set, you're gonna have problems. If you shoot these guns like a DA revolver, you'll be fine.

This one needs more rounds through it to call it reliable but I'd be surprised if it has any problems. For the money, I think you could do a lot worse than a SCCY. Last week at the Myrtle Beach gun show a dealer had the SCCY with a white frame for $169. I came close to buying another one and do the Rit dye trick on the frame. But, I held strong and bought a SUB2K instead.

Geezer funny that you post this. Last Friday I was thinking about buying another one to keep in the garage (man cave/reloading room). I also want a couple more magazines.

I kinda like the orange and stainless. I think. It's hideous but I can't look away.
Too bad you can't buy them at a Home Depot. I want one too.

Several years ago in a skeet shoot I wasn't having a good day and won a SCCY. Had never heard of them and wasn't in the mood to explore so I had a friend bring it in under his FFL and sold it. Never laid eyes on it... I guess they have come along just fine based on what I read here....

having carried one for years, I can say that I did have the ejector break on my cpx-2. they fixed it for nothing and gave me a nice hat.
I do believe they may have redesigned a few things as they wanted to "inspect" my cpx-1 too..
I will say they do come in some nice colors

^Nice username :D^

I would buy a CPX2 in a heartbeat if I could find some on the used market near me that weren't hot pink. And no, I'm not above girly colors, I own some P80 frames in robin egg blue.

Mary said you could put a Clemson paw on it and it would be awesome.

@Geezer I had a guy today in my CCH course with one of these. Bought it for 100.00 off a guy. Never shot it. Gasses her up and shoots 50 flawless rounds through it. And like….all were in GREAT groups. The only issue I saw with the pistol was the 4.5 inch reset on the pistol. :) Honestly, It shot well, and if it was an option, Id carry one if I needed a low cost option. I was impressed.

Trigger reset is aaaaallllllllll the way out there. Just convince yourself that you're shooting a DA revolver.

But when it resets, the trigger pull will always be the same and break at the same point. Also, if the sights are lined up correctly the bullet is going to strike really close to the sam of POI.

These are great little guns. We ended up with 900 rounds through one without a Single glitch after the first magazine full.

Last week I ran my 2nd one and had a bunch of problems with the slide going back into battery. I call SCCY and they said that some of their magazine followers was causing issue like that so they are sending me 2 new magazines and a new recoil spring. I also told them that my older SCCY has maybe 2500 rounds down the pipe and only can remember 1 misfeed but did not like the trigger face. The one on the new SCCYs are smooth so he said that they will send me a new trigger.

BTW, I did have a problem loading the magazines. The follower wanted to tilt.

Could not ask more from any company.

Just got a package from SCCY. Less than a week, It was 2 replacement magazines, recoil spring, trigger and the link between the trigger and the hammer. Now do I want to try to put the trigger and link in?

SCCY UPDATE 01/27/2019
After SCCY sending me 2 new magazines and them saying that the magazines was causing the problem - well they were right. Ran about 125 rounds through the gun without a stoppage. Now I need to see how can I get the 2 magazines that was causing the problem fixed.
