SEALs missing at sea

Good video. I've seen this guy on other videos sprinkled around the net. He's definitely an ex seal.

Everything he said is 100% true.

I also like that he didn't go into specific tactics because there absolutely are people searching the internet for any tidbits of info that can help them hurt Americans.

He said he never counts anyone out, and that's a nice sentiment, but..... Unless they find these guys being held captive somewhere (extremely unlikely) they will not be found alive.
As high tech as the seals are, compared to other units… seems something like a simple air tag in a pocket would be ideal. Someway to track each other

If the good guys can track each other, the bad guys can track em too.

You recall when some of our military outpost locations in Iraq/Afghanistan got exposed because guys were [gps] logging their daily runs to some fitness app?

One thing he said that stuck out to me is “the ocean is the great equalizer. I don’t care how tough you are the ocean will make a baby out of you. It is unforgiving and it’s the most powerful force on earth.” I could not agree more. I have spent a few thousand hours on the ocean fun fishing and fishing for hire and nothing in this world can make you feel as insignificant as being in the middle of the ocean with no other boats in sight.

Oddly enough I really enjoyed being out in the ocean with nothing else around

Oh don’t get me wrong I very much enjoy it. I love that my phone won’t ring. Internet for the most part is non existent out there.

As a captain told me once “the ocean is not your friend”.

My mother used to say that I must be part cat because I have nine lives and have used up most of them in the sea. That is true.

I at the same time love the ocean and am terrified of it.

VBSS is no joke, it is not easy, and there are a million ways it can go south and kill you quick. For every one you do in real life you train pier-side or static a hundred times. I was terrified during each event.

But I think the reason I lived through all the events in which I should not have is because of my extraordinary respect for the sea.
