Searching For a Qualified Retreat Caretaker Couple/Family

owner sounds like a nut.
Well, it is posted on survivalblog.

I would love to know what he’s offering for someone to oversee the development of his retreat. Might not be a bad job, just need to negotiate the right terms. One requirement not listed, owner is as likely as not a democrat, gotta tolerate that.

Seems like a tough set of requirements to meet. Wanting all the farm/ranch/mechanic/medical skills combined with specialized LEO/military history, health and fitness requirements, marital status and relationship health, and all under the age of 45 while holding the same religious and world views.
If I were to project this upon my life I'd have only half of his requirements. My father (when 45) was a better fit still and only meets 70%. My father in law when 45 also might get just 70%. Every military guy I've ever known wouldn't qualify between the religious, mental and physical health, and happy marriage requirements. Of the kids I've known that grew up on farms and went to military none of them would make the health/weight requirement. I don't see this guys version of perfect being met.

Also, I'm not sure I'd want my wife around a bunch of folks I didn't choose myself "if the balloon..." and we're expected to stay on as medical, farm help and security. The other men might not be principaled enough to be trustworthy in tough times.

No thank you. Owner is wanting MacGyver combined with 10 professions. Also owner sounds like a nut.
This is the kind of job you apply to as a joke to irritate the owners. SF experience, kids HAVE to be homeschooled, and their preferred religion? Oh and make sure you know how to operate heavy machinery 😂

That’s just one flaw in his plan, you’ll be picking the force. Should the balloon do whatever, you and your team will be deciding who stays and who does not. Even if he hires a bunch of similar folks, ya’ll will be out there on the ranch building relationships with each other, he and his will always be outsiders.

I knew a guy back in Illinois who used to talk about having a bug out place and hiring a homeless guy to keep the garden growing and the goats milked. I asked him if he expected a problem entering if he ever needed to bug out to this turn key location. He said he planned on having to kill the guy because it's one too many extra mouths to feed.
That was the last time I ever talked to that particular individual.

That’s quite the job listing haha. I’m nowhere near qualified but if I were, there’s no way I’d take that!

It’s good that the client is detailed and seems to know when they want, but that level of specificity including that the wife must take care of the greenhouse, also makes them seem crazy.

WOW - This guy is offering the dream job. The difference is that he has put everything on the line. He is not advertising "some" qualifications and then interviewing hundreds of applicant's. The selecting the best of the bunch. He has laid it out in full. He has not mentioned salary. This could be a VERY well paid opportunity to slip into a career or partnership. Don't think this guy is a Liberal/ He mentioned todays environment - when the balloon goes up. TEOTWAWKI - in his own way and it is a survivalist type training resort. The problem is that someone under 45 with this drive, motivation and willingness, that is not already settled - will be hard to find.

Not sure I fully agree. From what we hear of the left's point of view in the main stream media and on social media channels the left seems to think:

1) 1.6.21 was a domestic terror attack
2) White nationalists are in need of rounding up and re-educating or exterminating
3) millions of new gun buyers are leftist people who realise the animals are off their chains

I've read survivalist blogs in the past where there were people planning their communes to disallow guns in camp and maybe only for the gate guards if at all. When asked how they'd deal with any new people that stumbled on their camp they said their plan was to poison them. These folks talked about TEOTAWKI and were absolutely not right leaning.

Yep, but what the owner don't know you do when he isn't there won't hurt him if you get my drift.
