Its supposed to snow or something, they'll be too busy ruining my weekend having cables hung on their cars by "qualified" people to be bothered collecting guns, look for reschedule.
 
Cops are not your friends.
He’s not your buddy, and you need to watch what you say and do around them, sure. But I’d say the same about my boss, or a lot of people I interact with daily. But there’s been more than one situation where I was glad to see them show up.

It’s a dangerous and difficult job, especially right now, and as long as he’s acting within the law and the oath he’s taken, he’s got my respect and support.

The event was part of a citywide effort to reduce gun violence in the community, according to a statement from Winston-Salem. Police accepted unloaded guns with no questions asked.

The $99,000 used to buy the guns came from the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Relief Fund.


Couple stupid questions here, but....

1. How does "buying back" guns reduce gun violence in the community, since people who are bringing in the guns aren't likely to be the ones causing the violence?

2. WTF are they using funds supposedly dedicated for COVID relief being used this way?
